I offer private flute lessons in your home, and online flute lessons.
Whether you are starting from scratch, fine tuning skills, or mastering advanced level music, I am happy to assist you in your musical journey. The flute studio provides flute and piccolo lessons to learners of all ages and performance levels in the Coachella Valley. Lessons balance structure with flexibility and it is my goal to make the music making process fun and rewarding. Instruction is tailored to the specific needs of the student in a positive and supportive environment.
Learn from the comfort of your home! Lessons are offered at the home of the student twice a week, once a week or every other week. Online flute and piccolo lessons are also available.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from Northwestern University where I studied piccolo and flute with Walfrid Kujala and Richard Graef of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. After graduating I returned to California where I served as flutist of the Inland Valley Symphony, the Inland Valley Opera Orchestra and St. Cather
I received my bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance from Northwestern University where I studied piccolo and flute with Walfrid Kujala and Richard Graef of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. After graduating I returned to California where I served as flutist of the Inland Valley Symphony, the Inland Valley Opera Orchestra and St. Catherine’s Orchestra in Riverside, CA. I greatly enjoy assisting students in attaining their musical goals and keeping the learning process fun and engaging. Studio members have excelled in their ensembles and participated in recitals and competitions. As a member of Ars Nova, a flute and guitar duo, I collaborated with my partner to provide exceptional entertainment for weddings, festivals, and musical events in Southern California. I have served as flute coach at several schools in the Temecula area and as clinician and an adjudicator for the San Diego Flute Guild. I was also on faculty at the Claremont Community School of Music where I taught Flute, Piccolo, and Music for Young Children.
I have over ten years of teaching experience and am a member of the National Flute Association.
As a flute instructor I strive to support students with gentle guidance and positive reinforcement as they move toward their musical goals. Providing a safe space to express and learn is imperative to musical success and my lessons provide a healthy learning environment. Instruction is encouraging, constructive, and empowering for optimum progress. Through tone work and scale and skill studies, studio members are taught the concepts necessary to become musical and creative players. I customize lesson curriculum to the needs of the student while considering each flutist’s individual learning style. Learners work with myself to create unique practice and performance goals that are attainable and measurable. I am honored to assist students as they work towards their musical aspirations and dreams.
